Finding new bands is always fun if you’re a music geek. And finding new bands that are freakin’ EPIC is even funner. Lolz! Well, I came across this awesome band called Evolove (Eh-Vuh-Love) on MySpace Music. Now I’m not a member of MySpace, but I do like to go to the music section and check out all the cool little bands they put up. So if you’re interested in going to and listening to some new stuff, you should go check that out.
Evolove caught my eye because Lucy (Vocals) has a unique voice, and the music they make is the kind I normally listen too.
The five man band (or four man, one girl) is:

Colby Jensen – (Guitar)
Brian Weathers – (Drums)
Billy Berman – (Bass)
I’ve always thought it was cool to see a chick in a mostly guy band, especially if she’s vocals.
Do you guys know what is the coolest thing ever? I managed to get in contact with Lucy via the interwebs, and got to send her a few questions. And because she is amazing, she answered them for me, so I could put them here on my blog.
So, what I have for you my cyber interview with Lucy Levinsohn, the lead singer of the uber cool band, Evolove.
Who were you in High School? Did you fit into a stereotype, or were you just your own person?
I was really into Theater during high school. I gave up Marching band in 6th grade for fear of being a nerd, which was really silly in hindsight. The irony is that most people think Theater kids are dorks….. so any way you slice it I wasn’t exactly what you would have called one of the “cool kids”.
Where do you shop allot? You have some pretty awesome dresses.
I am in love with H&M right now. Super cute and good for the budget. On the more dressed up side I love the brand Betsy & Adam. They have great party dresses!
How old were you when you learned you could sing?
1 day old LOL. I was always singing. I was 17 when I decided I wanted to start a band.
Did you always want to be a singer when you were little, or did you have other plans?
I had several people tell me I should be a singer before I really believed I could do it for a living. In college I started taking music and voice classes. It kind of snow-balled from there because once I decided I wanted a career in music, that’s all I wanted.
Your Band is really cool, have you always known Colby, Dave, Billy and Brian?
I have known Billy for 8 years. We met 2 bands ago, it was called Lily’s Siren. When that broke up we started Waiting 4 Wyatt which later evolved into EVOLOVE. We met Colby, Dave, and Brian earlier this year when we started the band search to create EVOLOVE. We technically met them through Craigslist.
What was your most embarrassing moment in life? Or on stage?
I’m not that easily embarrassed and can’t really think of anything off hand. But if I think of it in the next day I will totally tell you!
What’s your favorite hobby outside of singing?
I don’t really have time for hobbies outside of singing. I’m too busy on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter….. so I guess Social Networking is my hobby 
How cool is that?
I think it’s cool how she met Colby, Dave and Brain on craigslist. Although that’s kind of scary in a way, too… Haha! I also love the fact she dropped out of the Marching Band in 6th grade. My little sister also dropped out in 6th grade, because she was afraid of becoming a nerd. Lolz!
