Okay, so we all know My Chemical Romance right? You know the group of guys that the “Emo-Kids” listen to. I for one, used to listen to them back in my Emo phase, then again, I also did a lot of things back then that I don’t do anymore. It seems the popular band followed by Blink-182 is back on the road, literally back on the “road” with the Honda Civic Tour. Ah, yes. I crack myself up sometimes! Anyway, the tour will consist of the two bands playing together at, Honda Civic Centers around the world? Maybe not. The Honda Civic Tour has more plans than just that, of course! They recently just came rolling through Detroit, followed by a bunch of sad teens with dark clothes and make-up. Now, what I want to know is, why Red? Why the awful red hair dye that makes Gerard Way look like he just got out of a Rehab center?
Although, I may never get the answer to this question, unless I somehow compel myself to get an interview with him on our website, which I really am not worried about. I would much rather interview the ghost of Peter Steele, but what can you do?
At least, he is finding himself and trying something new, personally I liked him better with the bleach blonde hair, during the opening for The Black Parade. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that, death and destruction back then was way cooler, then dying your head like a soul-less ginger. Oh wait, I forgot we are not supposed to say that anymore.
But, just to make something clear, I have nothing against red-heads, I just hate the fact that most people who dye their hair red can’t really pull it off, and with Gerard Way, I guess it’s somewhat of a double sided edge. What do you think? Does he pull it off like a ginger could, or does this desperate attempt to make change, butcher the whole style in general?
Anyway, nice attempt Gerard, but I am going to have to say NO, on the red-hair. I just think it’s to… Cliché? I see everyone dying their hair red these days, except for the redheads that is. But, I mean come on, am I the only one who misses the old music from them? Songs like “Teenager,” and “Famous Last Words.” Now he’s got these other versions of the song in Acoustic version, where he totally butchered “Cancer” by the way, as you can see down below. So, on behalf of myself and all other Old school MCR fans, WE WANT THE OLD SHEET BACK!

Okay, isn’t this just TERRIBLE? As Simon Cowell would say, “I would rather stick rusty nails in my ears, then to EVER listen to that again.” And trust me Simon, I don’t blame you. It sounds how I expect Justin Bieber to sound, when his balls finally drop. Oh! I didn’t!? YES, Yes I did.
Enough of my ranting and complaints about them though, I must admit they do have a lot of new stuff that actually caught my eye this year, like “Planetary (GO!)” for example, catchy beat, nice energy with it, the type of thing to get you to jump up in your seat and start head banging. I hope they keep coming out with more hit singles, because from all these changes they are making, it is really the only thing they have left!
